It's simply antisocial, they see a loophole and they use it. Don't get a bluetravel polis, don't use any of the postbank products.

Who paid for the trip? Like, if you're sent there, then I'd agree. But if you go on your own, and the company refunds you, not so much.

No exactly, I paid myself, even got the student discount for google io (company didn't pay for anything). But even the pure mention of 'conference' voids the insurance.

the one time i considered insuring my laptop some guy from abn amro insured me (no pun intended) that it would be insured for both business and leisure. not sure if they still do that but it's on my todo list somewhere to find out.
